At St Andrew’s, we are blessed with a strong leadership team,
made up of godly men and women.

Naomi Daniel and Jennifer

Rev. Daniel Martinez (center) and his wife Pamela arrived in Canada in 2008 after getting married and both graduating with a BA in Theology from Baptist Theological Seminary in Santiago, Chile.

Daniel studied Ancient Greek Language & Culture at the “Universidad de Chile,” which opened an opportunity to continue studies at Regent College, Vancouver. He received an MA from Regent in Theological Studies with a concentration in New Testament in 2014. Daniel pursued more studies at the Vancouver School of Theology & St Andrew’s Hall to be ordained in the PCC, receiving a Master of Divinity in 2022.

Daniel loves preaching and teaching Bible study. Daniel also loves Star Wars, Marvel movies, and the best sport ever, which according to “Chico,” is tennis. Daniel and Pamela have two wonderful children, Noelia and Felipe.

Naomi Middlemiss is our Music director.  She grew up in the south of France with Pentecostal missionary parents.  After working in Scotland for 8 years with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), she followed her Canadian husband to his native Cowichan Valley in 2009.  Together they have two children.  Naomi is a musician, songwriter, and a worshiper at heart.  She loves working with musicians and blending all styles of music into the Sunday morning service.

Jennifer Walls is our Office Administrator.  She grew up in the Yukon and after graduating from Canadian Mennonite University, she moved to Duncan to work at this church. After five years leading youth and music here at St. Andrew’s she took a few years off to raise her two children. Now that they are in school, she has returned to St. Andrew’s to fill the position of Office Administrator.  She appreciates the opportunity to use the gifts and talents that God has equipped her with.

Elders

In the Presbyterian Church each congregation is governed by a board of elders called the Session. The elders are elected by the congregation. As a diverse group of men and women, young and old, they represent the church in governance and they provide spiritual care and oversight to the church.

Our Clerk of Session is Sandra Kroek.

Volunteers

The majority of the work done in and by the church is carried out by volunteers. People from our church lead and participate in groups such as the Property Committee, Finance Committee, Kitchen Crew, and Mission Committee.

If you are looking for an opportunity to serve please contact us. We would love to find you a volunteer role that pairs your strengths with the needs in our community.
